Calvary Chapel of
Cape May hosts the
2nd Annual Heart & Soul Tournament!

As a youth outreach project of the church, Wayne, church youth worker and tournament director, wanted to give the youth of our area an opportunity to compete in a "3 on 3" annual basketball tournament.  As a result,
the Calvary Chapel Heart & Soul Tournament was developed last year. This year's tournament was held on August 23rd, we had nine teams with additional kids staying for the 3 pt. and foul shot competitions. Both years have been very successful.  In addition to the competition and contests, prizes were awarded to the top teams, the first place team winning $150 gift cards.  All participants received a new backpack, Tournament T-shirt, and a Bible. We were pleased to have Mr. Tom Piotrowski this year as our main speaker.  He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the
3rd round (15th pick, 62nd overall) of the 1983 NBA draft.

 He is now a dedicated Christian, father, and prinicpal of Atlantic Christian School in Atlantic County, NJ.  His message to the youth was that in all that he achieved his relationship with Jesus was the most important thing in his life.  His fame, fortune, status, etc. all came last!  Tom's 7' 1" stature was a bit intimidating, but his gentle spirit was proof of the love he had for our Savior, Jesus Christ.  After a exhilarating message of faith, several teens wanted to make that same committment to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and live for Him.  Please enjoy the photos of this year's tournament.
